This printed carpet got itself into London Fashion Week!
We were laying printed carpet rather than taking a turn on the runway, but our foray into fashion was exciting nonetheless.
With less than two day’s notice, we were called by a fashion house who needed a printed carpet to dress their pop-up stand in Selfridges as part of London Collections: Men.
This is the UK’s biggest showcase of menswear. Guests to the four day event included the Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, Ed Vaizey, industry figure heads, press, buyers, committee members and official London Collections: Men ambassadors including David Gandy, Dermot O’ Leary, Douglas Booth, Nick Grimshaw, Oliver Cheshire, Robert Konjic and Tinie Tempah. So, we were delighted to play a part in this for our client.
We got the artwork approved just the day before delivery was due and so it required precision and calm to get the job done right. Tamsin handled the artwork, which Dan printed and trimmed ready for delivery and installation.
Here’s the finished look. What do you think?
We think it looks great, as did the client! It was an interesting way to include the design of the collection into the display and really bring it to life.
Selfridges liked it too, posting a tweet, which went to a total of just under 300,000 people.
